Being Human

You say you are human. But are you really?
I ask you,
A simple question, “Where are you going?”
You say,
“To the place I am supposed to go”
I say, “But, what about the place you want to go?
What about the things you want to see?”
Walking down the street in a hurry,
You say,
“Only if I had the time”
For you are the slave of it,
Rushing to the place,
Four cups of coffee a day,
Meeting deadlines,
Late nights,
I ask you,
“Is it worth it?”
“Is this what you want?”
Have you ever seen the nature around you?
Have you ever looked for answers in it?
Have you ever felt your breath leaving your lungs?
Have you ever felt so alive in a moment,
That a tear rolled down the cheeks,
For you didn’t want it to end.
Good things still exist in the world,
For those who believe.
Recognize the human in you,
Do more things that move you,
Emotionally, Spiritually, and Mentally.
Listen to the child in you,
For it is telling the truth.
Embrace the human in you,
For there is pattern in the universe,
And answers for those who are looking.

“Once in a while, disconnect with the world and connect with yourself. You might find the answers you are looking for.”
